The following is a list of common problems that may be prohibiting your computer from properly communicating to our dedicated registration servers for purposes of electronic activation, software updates or monthly rental software arrangements.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Your Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) server or Intellisoft’s Web server may be out of service temporarily.  Servers are occasionally reset for maintenance reasons.  We recommend that you always re-attempt this process at a later time (wait at least 5 minutes)  before assuming that a problem exists on your end.
  • The computer from which you are experiencing a problem may have internet access issues.  If you are unable to surf the internet on your web browser, then this is definitely an indication of a problem with your ISP’s server or your hardware.  Please be certain that your network administrator has not blocked your workstation from access to the internet or access to specific web addresses.
  • Firewall software or Firewall hardware appliances may be to blame for connection problems.  ManageMore attempts to use either TCP port 80 or port 18280 for its communication to the web.  This may present a problem with firewall applications, routers, and other devices which can be set up to  block communication on these ports.  ManageMore will typically attempt to use the more common port 80 as a first attempt, and then will try port 18280 as a final attempt for communicating to our dedicated web server.   Many network administrators will program your firewall applications, routers, and other port listening devices to ignore information from all unknown ports.  As a double-check, please have your network administrator confirm that port 80 and/or port 18280 are not being blocked or ignored by your existing firewall.
  • Anti-virus applications commonly interfere with software products that attempt to communicate through the internet.  We recommend temporarily disabling these types of products and re-launching ManageMore to see if your problem goes away.  If so, you will need to speak with IT personnel to make exceptions in your AV product with ManageMore.
  • If you are using a proxy server software, you may need to contact your network administrator to ensure proper configuration.  Proxy software can also be configured to ignore communication attempts on specific ports.  Again, as a double-check, please have your network administrator confirm that port 80 and/or port 18280 are not being blocked or ignored by your proxy software.
