About Promotional Discounts
Promotional Discounts are used to define temporary changes to the price of goods and services. Using a variety of calculation methods, ManageMore can determine the correct pricing based on almost any pricing scheme imaginable, and create a code to represent the pricing discount. The promotional codes are then assigned to the desired inventory items (either individually or in bulk via Global Price Changes) for implementation.

| 1) | Select the Promotional Pricing menu option. |
| 2) | Enter a New promotion plan, or Edit an existing plan. |
| 3) | Apply the code to inventory items: one at a time, or with Global Price Changes. |

General
Promo Plan ID
Enter a unique code for this promotional discount scheme.
Description
Enter the detailed name for this promotional discount scheme here. This value is for reference purposes only.
Price Level
Select the Price Level that this promotional discount scheme will affect.
Promo Period
Select whether this promotion should run for a range of time or for specified days of the week.
Promotion Effective On
Enter or select the starting and ending date and time of this promotion if the Promo Period is set to Date Range. If the Promo Period is set to Specific Days, then select the days of the week the promotion should be active.
Select Pricing Method
Select one of the following methods for discounting:
| At % Off | Will decrease the price level(s) by the percent amount entered. |
| At $ Off | Will decrease the price level(s) by the fixed amount entered. |
| At Fixed $ of | Will set the price level(s) to the fixed amount entered. |
| Buy ... For $ ... Get Free ... Limit Of | Will set the price level(s) based on the amount entered for the specified quantity, then to zero for the amount indicated. The free items will be limited as indicated. |
Buy ... At $ Each ... Get More ...
| At % Off ... Limit Of | Will set the price level(s) to the amount entered for the specified quantity, then by the percent entered for the amount indicated. The discount items will be limited as indicated. |

| Q01. | Once the promotional discount record has been made, how does it get on each of the inventory items? |
| A01. | The promotional discount code can be placed on Supertrack Inventory items using Global Price Change. When building the list, simply choose the Promotional Price Change as the Method to use and then select the Promotional Discount code appropriately. |
| Q02. | Is there a limit to the number of promotional discount codes that can be created? |
| A02. | There is no limit to the number of discount codes that can be made. |
| Q03. | What if our company wants a promotion to stay in effect permanently? |
| A03. | Since promotional discounts are meant to be temporary, if there is a need to have the discount be permanent, it is suggested that the price be changed on the Supertrack Inventory record itself. However, the promotional discounts end date can be set far into the future to get the same desired effect. |
